The National Day of Prayer is an annual day of observance designated by the United States Congress and held on the first Thursday of May, when people are asked “to turn to God in prayer and meditation”. The president is required by law to sign a proclamation each year, encouraging all Americans to pray on this day.
We would like to ask our families to do a neighborhood prayer walk at 7pm in each of our neighborhoods where we live.
Let’s also pray through the day for the following…
CHURCH.
Pray for churches to be filled with unity in the Spirit, faith, patience, and steadfast hope, believing that God fulfills His promises and is faithful in all things. Ephesians 4:4-6, Hebrews 6:11-12,

FAMILY
Pray for families to be filled with living hope in Jesus our Shepherd, God’s wisdom founded on His Word, His presence among us, and the Spirit’s life, love, and peace.

EDUCATION
Pray for educators and students to be filled with wisdom, endurance in God’s Word, and trust in Him, believing He brings life, light, and security.

BUSINESS/WORKPLACE
Pray for workplaces to be filled with Love-driving Labor, confident hope, reverence for God, and provision believing our work is our worship and that it glorifies Him.

MILITARY
Pray for service members and their families to be filled with courage, salvation and victory, trusting God’s strength and unfailing love to lead and protect them in righteousness.

ARTS, ENTERTAINMENT & MEDIA
Pray for arts, entertainment, and media industries to be filled with creativity, true and worship, using talents to glorify God and greatness in every expression.

GOVERNMENT
Pray for our leaders to be filled with repentance, integrity, compassion, and justice, seeking God’s guidance to serve others with humility and stewardship.
